Youth Group

Everyone at Temple Beth El will tell you that our kids are the heart and soul of our congregation. Temple life revolves around them. We all know they represent our future.  Our kids are given immersive and fantastic opportunities to socialize with their peers in three progressive youth group settings: Tribe 4/5, B.E.A.J.Y. and B.E.A.S.T.Y.

  • All participants must register
  • Parents will be notified directly with any changes or cancellations

Tribe 4/5 (Grades 4 and 5)

Tribe 4/5 is our Temple Youth Group for 4th and 5th grades. Youth group is more than just eating pizza and running around after Hebrew school. Youth Group is where friendships are made – for the rest of your life. Youth group is not just a place where the kids can go and hang out. It’s a place they can call their own.

New 4th graders and veteran 5th graders are in for a fun packed year of parties, games, cooking and community service.

B.E.A.J.Y. – Beth El Active Junior Youth (Grades 6 and 7)

B.E.A.J.Y. is the place to be for 6th and 7th graders! B.E.A.J.Y. is a safe and welcoming environment where any youngster in grades 6 and 7 can participate in stimulating social programs.  Join your friends and create lifelong friendships and memories with this inspiring group of kids.

B.E.A.S.T.Y.  Beth El Active Senior Teen Youth

(Grades 8-10)

If you have never experienced a B.E.A.S.T.Y. event or meeting, what have you been waiting for?  Adopting the protocols and regulations from NFTY–NAR (North American Federation of Temple Youth – New York Area Region), this program is run very much like a High School Student Government by your very own elected representatives.

We work as a group to plan local field trips and NFTY events in the tri-state area. We actively develop and launch social action programs with other temples on Long Island while enjoying old favorites like dinner and a movie night, Shul-In, holiday celebrations, Relay for Life and Indoor Field Day.
