Tot Shabbat and Tot Havdalah services are age appropriate services for Temple Beth El's young families.
Tot Shabbat services are usually held on the Bimah with a child friendly sermon and lots of singing. The service is run by either Rabbi Jeff or Cantor Sherry. It is usually 20-30 minutes long, and followed by a pot luck dinner in the youth lounge, with play time for the kids and mingling for the adults. Time is usually from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Future Tot Shabbats will have babysitting with the youth group while the adults partake in a short lecture on a topic of interest, i.e., How to bring Shabbat into your home.
Our Tot Havdalah services are on Saturdays at 6:30 PM. Children are invited to come in their pajamas for the service. After services there will cookies and milk for the children and coffee for the adults.

The Mothers Circle provides support, discussions and learning opportunities for woman of other religious backgrounds who are raising Jewish children. Our classes explore the rituals, traditions, holidays and foods of the Jewish people. The curriculum is sponsored by the Jewish Outreach Institute and the primary goal is to take the mystery out of keeping a Jewish home, and explore the "how to's" of raising Jewish children in a warm, supportive community of woman who have made similar choices for their families. The course is free (except for the purchase of two books) and no temple membership is required in order to participate. We will take the time to explore our similarities and differences and define our goals for raising our Jewish children. Interesting questions and lively discussions promise to be part of our classes and we respect each participant's choice to retain her own religious identity while providing Jewish family life for her children.
We will be meeting one or two Tuesdays each month at 7:30 PM.
